I am involved with this years Open Studios which will be virtual. Check out the YAVA website www.yava.org.au to register as a visitor.
The dates for virtual zoom visits with be the weekends in November, 14 & 15, 21 & 22, 28 & 29. There are 28 Artists to 'visit'. My husband Graeme and I are two of the artists.
VIRTUAL OPEN STUDIOS 2020
We are finalising our upcoming Virtual open Studios program for 2020, working busily behind the scenes to create a memorable experience - so you will have a new way to peek inside the artist studios, to ‘see behind the wizard’s curtain’ and discover some of the wonders of an artist’s world. Think video, live-streaming, chat and more. Once restrictions ease we will also bring you opportunities to visit our artists' studios over a series of weeks and months. 😮😲😮😲😮😲😮😲😮😲 Wow! Guess What? 😁. I won the Peoples Choice Award at the Yarra Glen art show for my echidna painting 'Yum Yum, Ants!'. Thank you so very much to all those who voted for my artwork. Much appreciated, received a fantastic prize which consists of a gift voucher of $200 for the art shop, a year pass to Alowyn Gardens and gift vouchers to buy plants at their nursery, eight bottles of wine, and some beer. 😆. Best prize ever! Now I can buy some more art supplies, for when I get back into my studio!! I've been pretty busy making chutney, jams and pickles with the produce from my garden, which are all growing crazy at the moment. Also I am on the Yarra Valley Arts Open Studios Committee and we have been busy organizing and receiving applications for this years Open Studios. There is also some very exciting stuff happening with Yarra Valley Arts, we are opening up a gallery and arts hub in the middle of Healesville. Lots to be done and will be an amazing place to visit once it is up and running.
